Nemo’s living objects – the Frizzi fan

December 13, 2008

Let me just quote from what the Frizzi brochure says:

It was really balmy one summer Sunday afternoon in New York city. I went for a run at my local gym. As I ran I was so hot that I imagined a great fan above my head keeping me refreshed, cool, and lit per contra to my sweat drenched clothes and overheated body.

In my day-dreaming listenings to 140 beats per minute of high energy music and a runners high after 10 km, I envisioned a tumultuos wind that would keep doughty me sprinting fervently.

I saw a voluptuos form, a simple floating sensual shape with 3 rounded blades of light. I felt the breeze in my hair, against my wet skin, keeping me cool.

I feel I could run forever. I was lit with a halo of light and my hair was frizzy as could be. Keel cool!

This is what Karim Rashid says about his Frizzi fan, which he calls “a living object”. The exceptional design, its efficiency and dual function as ventilator and light (optional) allow it to be used anywhere, at any time of the year. In summer it is an ideal addition to air conditioning, while in winter it complements the heating systems. Frizzi improves the comfort of interiors, illuminates, furnishes, its movement accompanying the rithms of work, conversation, rest. Thanks to the special design of its blades, Frizzi has an efficient action range of about 4 metres, within which it moves air without any noise or vibration.

Frizzi’s motor, class F certified, ensures high level performance even at low speed. It is thermally insulated, so that it works perfectly in the hottest interiors, even when the light is on.

Frizzi comes in various colours: the body is available in metallic silver, glossy white-gray, glossy anthracite grey or glossy white-grey, with semi-transparent or light-blue semi-transparent blades. In the version which incorporates a light, the triplex blown glass diffuser is available in opal white, mat finish. All functions can me activated by remote control.

Almost everything can be sold/purchased if there is someone to present it according to its features + adding a nice story to it! To get this fan in our store, you can visit us in Archway, London, or you can order it online at the Heating and Ventilation section, CoolingFans - ventilation.
